This Halloween Science Lab is the perfect way to get your students excited about Science Experiments and out of their seats. Students get to use the Scientific Method to see if their Halloween candy will float and let’s add a little Halloween STEM and determine why packaging companies choose this type of packaging. The students have fun putting candy bars in water, opening them, and trying again. It also brings up great observation conversations and squeals of delight.

The stores in fall are filled with bags of mini candy bars this time of year and this is a great excuse to buy a bag. This lab is interactive, interesting, and a great way to tie in fun and learning. I ask parents to purchase a few bags to help our class.

How it works
You can choose to set students up with their own set, work in groups, teacher-led or if you are virtual, take a video of you doing the experiment.
Before starting the experiment, give students a lab book. These lab books can be differentiated. Some pages can be left out for your lower learners. The students will follow along and make observations throughout the experiment.
This is a great way to add educational value to your Halloween celebrations, a fun Fall Science Lab, or when your students are in need for some educational fun.
Don’t forget that leaving feedback earns you points toward FREE TPT purchases. I love FEEDBACK!
As always, please contact me with any questions.
Thank you so much,
